Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Ride

May 26, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm UTC-4

Smoky Mountain Thunder. Memorial Motorcycle Ride

We at Lovin’ Life in the Smokies are thrilled to invite you to a truly special event, the Smoky Mountain Thunder Memorial Motorcycle Ride, taking place on May 26th. This event isn’t just a ride; it’s a powerful tribute to the true meaning of Memorial Day, and we want you to be a part of it.

Event Details:

  • Opening Ceremony: 10:00 A.M. in Sevierville, TN
  • Ride Starts: 11:00 A.M. (Rain or Shine)
  • Closing Ceremony: At Veteran’s Overlook, Clinch Mountain, Grainger County

The opening ceremony features patriotic singing, guest speakers, an appearance by an American Bald Eagle, and a wreath-laying at the Veteran’s Monument. The ride itself is a 65-mile, non-stop journey across five counties, drawing attention and support from local television networks, newspapers, and radio stations. Last year, our message reached from Washington D.C. to Florida, thanks to our sponsors and participants.

This event is run entirely by volunteers and is non-profit. Funds raised from selling t-shirts, patches, and sponsorships go towards essential expenses such as fresh flower wreaths, port-a-potties, advertising, and other necessary services to ensure a successful and respectful event.

Become a Member: To stay informed about this and other fantastic events in the Smoky Mountains, we encourage you to become a member of our community. As a member, you’ll receive updates, event invitations, and the latest news about the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
